Trump declines ask for to lessen flags for Cash Gazette taking pictures victims

President Trump declined a ask for to lessen the American flag in memory of the five victims who died in a taking pictures at the Cash Gazette newspaper in Annapolis previous week, according to the publication.

Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley requested that the flags be lowered at federal governing administration structures, but his ask for was denied. Trump has requested flags be lowered following other mass shootings. 

Trump, who has referred to the press as the “enemy of the people today” multiple periods in the past, reported on Friday that journalists “ought to be absolutely free from the concern of remaining violently attacked even though undertaking their career.” 

But that doesn’t necessarily mean journalists will get his regard.

“Obviously, I’m unhappy, you know? … Is there a cutoff for tragedy?” Buckley advised the Gazette. “This was an assault on the press. It was an assault on liberty of speech. It’s just as critical as any other tragedy.”

It ought to be observed, that Buckely has not lowered his own city’s flags. According to the Gazette, his spouse talked him out of it.
